PVC is a soft material compared to wood or metal — hand-tighten fasteners and don't rely on a drill at full torque, or you risk stripping the screw holes, which is by far the most common self-inflicted assembly problem.

    Troubleshooting After Assembly

    A gap at a corner seam almost always traces back to one of two causes: a panel that wasn't seated at a true 90-degree angle before the screws went in, or a fastener that was tightened unevenly, pulling one side of the joint closer than the other. The fix is usually to back the screws out slightly, re-square the panel by hand, and re-tighten evenly, working from one end of the seam to the other rather than fully tightening one screw before moving to the next.
