Converts a 4×2×2 into a 4×2×4 — doubling the height without replacing the enclosure. For a keeper whose animal has outgrown its vertical space, or who's moving toward a heavily planted build, this is the alternative to buying a second enclosure and finding somewhere to put the first.
Height without a re-buy: the standard advice is to buy the bigger enclosure once. An extension kit is the honest middle path when you already own the smaller one.
Opens up planted and arboreal builds: four feet of height is what makes real climbing structure and tall live plants viable.
